Aluminum Cutting
Cutting of reflective metals, like aluminum, was once impossible for smaller sealed CO2 lasers. Kern is proud to introduce its new 400 watt laser system that is capable of cutting certain aluminum alloys up to .060". Pictured below are .040" aluminum rectangles and lettering cut with the HSE 400 watt laser system.
Aluminum Marking
Marking aluminum with a a Kern Laser System is also possible. A laser marking spray is used to leave a dark, durable mark on the surface of the metal. Cermark and Thermark are two examples of a laser marking spray.
